Free Software Downloads
As a service to the BFB community, we will — from time to time — offer free software downloads on this page. They are totally free, and you need not give any information in order to get them. No opt-in lists, no personal information, nothing. This software contains no spyware or malicious code. We use these tools every day. All we ask is that you download them, enjoy them, and tell others about them — that will increase our BFB readership. Each software tool has its own demo video, which you can watch. The downloads are ZIP files, which also include a readme file that describes how to use the software. Enjoy!

BFB Link Text Suggester (7 min.)
Most SEO experts agree — it is very important to vary the link text you use when blogging for backlinks. But what if you have run out of ideas for link text to use? Simply fire up this tool. Put in your seed topic, and it will generate a list of up to 100 additional phrases that you can use. It will also generate stats that will allow you to gauge the popularity of these phrases. You can add to your list, delete unwanted entries, then save it to use with other applications when blogging. Never again run out of ideas for blog link text!
Did you ever wonder if your SEO efforts are helping your site to rank better? Would you like to get an estimate of the number of backlinks to your site that the search engines see? Perhaps you would like to look at a competitor’s ranking and backlink quantity. With this tool you can do all of that. Check your current Google page rank, Alexa rank, and other stats like the number of backlinks seen by a number of different search engines (not all possible backlinks, just a total). You can even save your results so that you can compare with earlier scans to check your progress. Much simpler — and quicker — to use than other tools.
BFB Dupe Content and Density Checker (12 min.)
Did you know that it is possible to re-use past blog post content to gain backlinks — but that the content must be thoroughly re-written? This software tool will allow you to compare two sets of blog post text, and will tell you the exact amount of duplicate content (%). If you are writing blog posts with a keyword density goal, it will also calculate the keyword density of both sets of text. Also very useful to check the work of others who may be writing blog posts for you — sample their work and make sure they are not trying to take shortcuts at your expense. Incredibly useful piece of software.
BFB Fast Blog Finder (12 min.)
This incredible piece of software will allow you to find many, many different blog posts for your target audience/niche. It categorizes each post, and has a built-in viewing area that allows you to read the blog post and leave comments without leaving the application. Using this software you can easily save hours and hours of time because it does all the searching for you! The free version will allow you to find up to 50 results for each search (unlimited amount of different searches), the paid version (less than $50 USD) will allow you to find unlimited blog posts. Save your favorite blog sites to a favorites list, or export to an external file — if you are serious about getting into blog post commenting, this software is a MUST. At BFB we use this application every day.
